I want to share my Outlook 2003 contacts and groups with my husband's Outlook
2003 I would like to export my contacts and groups to his computer. Then I
would like for him to be able to merge my contacts and groups with his
already existing contacts and groups. How can I accomplish this? I have a
friend who wants to do the same with Outlook 2002? Would the procedure be
the same for both versions?
Please give steps, I am not very computer literate.
Thank you so much.

Export your Contacts folder in PST format via File | Import and Export |
Export to a file ...

Then, copy them to the other Computer, Open the PST via File | Open .... and
copy the items to the other Contacts folder.

This will work with both versions of Outlook.

Note that if you transfer the PST via a CD then ensure the PST is copied to
the computer and is not read-only before you open it.

Create a new PST with File>New>Outlook Data File. Right-click your Contacts
folder and choose Copy. Specify the new PST as the destination. When the
copy completes, rtight-click the new PST and choose Close. Close Outlook.
Copy the new PST to the other computer, putting it in any folder you please,
making sure you do not overwrite a PST with the same name. Remove the
read-only attribute. Start Outlook. Open the new PST with
File>Open>Outlook Data File. Open the Contacts folder, select the contacts
you wish to move (or use CTRL-A to select all of them - you may have to
select one item first), right-click the selection and choose Copy. Specify
your main COntacts folder as the destination. When the copy completes, you
can close the new PST.
