How do I enable scrolling in a Word document?

Using Word 2003 (Office 2003), my documents seem to suddenly change on me.
The scroll bar on the right and its accompanying arrows disappear, and I
can't scroll through documents.
 
Try to select Tools > Options > View tab and check whether "Vertical scroll
bar" has been turned off. In that case, turn it on again and click OK.
