Task: Print thin binder labels.
How do I elongate arial font 8 letters e.g., make letter higher but not
wider in order to fit the related word to the label and make the letter/word
more readable.?
Thank you.

Hi jladzins,

You cannot do this in Word unless you use WordArt, but this is tool is far
too coarse for what you want to do.

Perhaps you can achieve a similar result by increasing the fontsize and
decreasing the space between the letters. Choose Format | Font... | tab
Character spacing. Select Condensed after "Spacing:" and type a value that
may suit you.

Success,

Rather than (or as well as) adjusting the spacing, decreasing the Scale (in
the same dialog) will make characters narrower - so a larger font size at a
smaller scale will effectively do what you want.

Alternatively, use the Arial Narrow font instead.
