Hi tallguy,

I mulled over several answers, and I couldn't decide which was better, so
here they all are:

1. Is this something you're supposed to be learning in the class? Is it your
homework (emphasis on "your")? Weren't you given some study materials, or
told what was expected? Certainly we haven't seen that material, so anything
we tell you is likely to be different from what your instructor expects.

2. There is no single kind of business letter -- there are many, depending
on what kind of business you're in, the topic under discussion, and the kind
of impression you want to make on your readers. Can you be more specific?

3. The charter of this newsgroup is mostly to deal with the operation of
Microsoft Word, not with the subject matter of the documents. If your
question is about the formatting or procedure for a letter, try using the
File > New menu item, choosing the Letters tab of the dialog, and clicking
either the Professional Letter template or the Letter Wizard. If you don't
like what you find there, look at the template collection at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/default.aspx, or use Google to
look elsewhere.

4. Word has a spelling checker. Please use it before you hand in your
composition!
