How do I disable show/hide in Outlook?

How do I disable the show/hide function in Outlook? This is the button that
reveals formatting codes in Word, but a search in Outlook help hasn't helped.

The show/hide feature is toggled with the paragraph mark button in the
Standard Toolbar. Make sure the Standard Toolbar is showing (View>Toolbars).
If it is showing and the button is not visible, "reset" the toolbar
(View>Toolbars>Customize>Toolbars>Reset). The button will be available for
toggling only when the curser is in the message part of the window.

Well, that's a Word function, so look in Word's own help. Not an Outlook
issue.

Hit reply on a message then choose the format text tab at the top then in the paragraphs box uncheck the little show/hide symbol... all done:)
