How do I delete an exchange server in Outlook 2003? Crashes.

When setting up Outlook 2003 to work with my msn account, I messed up and
said that it was a Microsoft Exchange Server. Now I can't delete it or fix it
because when I open Outlook, it wants to sign onto this fictitious account
and will not let me go any further. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling
without any success. Any ideas?

Hello,
When setting up Outlook 2003 to work with my msn account, I messed up and
said that it was a Microsoft Exchange Server. Now I can't delete it or fix it
because when I open Outlook, it wants to sign onto this fictitious account
and will not let me go any further.

Delete the Exchange-Account via

Control Panel | Mail | E-Mail-Accounts
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling
without any success.

This approach won't work, because the uninstaller does not remove your
profiles (there are saved your e-mail-accounts) which stored in the
registry of windows in following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I knew there was a way to do it but just
couldn't figure it out. Very helpful.
My best,
Carolyn
