How do I delete a picture only seen in reading layout view?

I can see a logo in the first page of a document in reading layout view only.
When I view the document in any other layout I'm unable to see it even when
all attributes are visible (show/hide)- any ideas?

On the View tab of Tools | Options, make sure you have "Drawings" checked
and "Picture placeholders" not checked.

Thank you for repying Suzanne, but that didn't work - i can still see it only
in reading layout. Any other thoughts?

There have been reports of mysterious documents containing graphics or text
somehow inserted using XML, so that might be a possibility. Or perhaps the
graphic is anchored to the body text but off the page?

Thanks Suzanne, I've got round it by copying and pasting into a separate
document except re typing the first page! It's a mystery. Thanks anyway.

Sometimes the brute-force approach is the best; you can spend a *lot* of
time spinning your wheels and trying to figure out what is wrong with a
document, and often it's a lot more efficient to just redo it.
