I've received and email with an exe file attached. I want to keep the email
but removed the blocked attachment. Outlook says "Outlook blocked access to
the following potentially unsafe attachments: " plus the filename. How can I
delete this attachment but keep the email msg in Outlook?

Since Outlook has already blocked the attachment, it is no longer there
to delete.

Actually it's still in the item, it just can't be accessed from the user
interface.

So there is no way to delete it, then? I forwarded it to another email
address not using Exchange, which removed the attachment, but now I have an
email that is listed as being from me rather than the person who sent it.
Ah, well, at least I have it without the attachment, saving 8 MB of space in
my mailbox.

Thanks for the responses!

Bob

No, you just need to use one of the methods listed at http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm to make it visible, so that you can then delete it.
