HOW DO I CURVE TEXT

I have used the autoshape function in PPT and want to add text that is curved
to match the donut shape.

Have you considered using WordArt to do that. You will find a button on the
drawing toolbar for it. Otherwise you will be forced to make the curved text
in another application and copy/paste it to Powerpoint.
