I suppose the most common method is to press the backward slash (reverse
solidus) key on your keyboard. On my keyboard it is the same key shared
with the "|" (pipe) character and directly above the "Enter" key.
Curiously, on the diagrams in the Polytonic Greek article, it's to the
left of the Enter key instead, and if Jane has a European-made
keyboard, that's where it may be located.
