Dave said:Just remember that if you got your WMA file from MusicMatch, you will
NOT be able to convert it with any of these tools. The MM WMA files
are encrypted.
Along those lines...I bought an album from Napster's service, then burnt it
to a CD, then copied it back to the HD. Not only was I able to convert
those tracks to mp3s, but the whole process of burning to CD seems to have
stripped all DRM protection from them. Now they look and act exactly like
the tracks I ripped from my CDs (without protection) then converted to mp3
format.

becomes a standard CD Audio file. From there you can rip it to your
heart's content.

develop a utility to virtually burn a WMA or AAC to a virtual-CD (i.e.
space on harddrive) and then convert it to MP3. That way we don't
have to waste time burning to CD and then ripping back to HD.
