How do I connect my e-mail accounts?

I have both AOL and Hotmail, and Outlook 2003 won't connect them. Do you know
how I can connect them? My computer uses a wireless adapter to connect to a
modem in another room. How do I make it so I can view both of my mailboxes in
Outlook?

Hotmail requires a paid account and the instructions for AOL are on their
help pages.

After furious head scratching, fb asked:

I am having the same problem with Outlook 2003 connecting SMTP with Yahoo. I
followed the help instructions re SSL set up that Microsoft has on help site
but that made it worse. If I ignore the SSL setting I only get one error. I
did pay the POP upgrade on yahoo just to link to Outlook so I am getting a
little cranky! Ideas anyone? Anyone successfully linked to Yahoo with MS
Outlook 2003?

SSL is not needed to access the Yahoo mail servers with a paid
account. What settings are you using? I connect to the Yahoo mail
servers just fine with Outlook 2003.

Incoming (POP3) server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing (SMTP) server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
