how do i combine and split archive.pst files in Outlook

I want to combine a number or archive files i have created and resplit them
according to date. Can you tell me how to concatenate .pst files and how they
can be split in Oullook 2003 on XP
 
You can't do either. You'd have to iterate every item in each open store and
copy or move items around individually to where you want them.
