How do I change the program that opens the pictures in my e-mail?

My attachments will not open because the program my computer came with only
had a trial version of the software needed. How can I change this to another
picture program that Ihave on my computer?

Explorer
Right-click on the file
Open With -> Choose Program
Select program
Check the option "Always use ..."
Click OK
