Yikes! I hit some strange combination of keys last night at work, and
suddenly all my documents, web pages, sign in -- everything!!! -- are
oriented sideways on my screen. I assume this is a feature for those with
monitors that swivel sideways, but I can't find the instructions to return it
to normal. (Yes, i finished typing sideways. Luckily, I was at the end of
my shift.)

Usually in desktop properties. Right click destop and look for
additional property settings (such as nView).

Thank you, thank you. It worked! (Right click on desktop, select graphics
options, graphics properties, choose the tab for rotation, select normal.)

You probably hit a ctrl + alt combination.

Within Windows XP, certain video drivers or graphics card chipsets
upporting 180 degree screen rotation can cause the Windows XP display to
be presented upside down. This can be (but is not always) tied to
lowering the screen resolution in some accessibility programs.

To revert to a right-side up display, hold down the CTRL, ALT and
UP/Down or Left/right (arrow) keys.

You can try it
