Question:
I am using XP in classical mode.
By default it appears that the file display for folder is in the "thumbnail"
format, which is what I do NOT want; I want the "detail" view.
I can change it to detail view for any folder, but then it reverts to the
"thumbnail" view for other folders.
How do I set myself up so that the DETAIL view is my default for ALL
FOLDERS - present and future.
Thanks,
Frank

Frank...Frank...

Up at the top in the bar...look at VIEWS...check the option (look) you
want...if you don't have views in there...look at the customize
feature...and start doing some reading in Help and Support right in you own
PC...and do some searches here in the Newsgroups...at some point ...ya'
gotta learn to do a little on your own...OK....READ...READ....

Frank,

Increase Folder View Options Limit: (Line 2):

Customize the folder views again.

Frank...open a folder, using VIEW, select the view you want. Then click on
Tools, click on Folder Options, click on view and then click on Make all
folders like this one....that should do it....

Frank: Change your view to Details and then go to Tools > Folder Options >
View > Apply to all folders and the rest is self-explanatory. When done the
result will be what you want.
