How do I change Outlook's default .pst file location

For Outlook 2002 SP-2

Since I use the same Outlook .pst file for multiple computers, I'd like
Outlook to open & save the .pst file to a different location.

How can I change the default location Outlook looks to open the primary .pst
file?

Move the file when Outlook is closed. When you restart Outlook it will nag
for the new location.

It worked perfectly for Outlook 2002 - thanks.

Any thoughts on Outlook 2003 SP-1? It won't let me open the program or
search for the .pst file after I delete it from the old location?

Should work the same. Otherwise reconnect it through Control Panel-> Mail->
Data Files

Unfortuantly it's not the same. When I did what you suggested, it almost
opens (it at least requsted my password). But then I get the following
message and it closes:

"Unable to open Outlook Window. The Set of Folders could not be opened"

Any thoughts?

Almost sounds like you've got a corrupted mail profile as it should work
this way.

HAve you reconnected it? Verify that it is set as your default delivery
location by pressing the E-mail Accounts button (still in Control Panel-
Mail)-> Next

When Outlook appears to work fine in the default location it does not have
any file listed in the Data Files section of Mail (it probably doesn't list
the default file). When I add my file to the Data File section and keep the
file in the default location it creates a duplicate Personal Folder in the
Navigation Pane (when opening Outlook).

When I move the Outlook file to the new location and add the file to the
Data File it gives me the error I listed before. I beleieve it's finding the
duplicate Personal File but is still looking for the orginal/default file in
the old location. The program then just closes, without giving the option to
browse for the new location.

As for the default mail delivery location, it only lists one item, "Personal
Files". And in the Show Profiles Section, it only lists one profile,
"Outlook".

I'm close to giving up.

Yep, thats a corrupted profile alright.

Create a new profile (do not copy it);
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles

To access your current pst-file in the new profile;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...

To set it as the default delivery location;
Tools-> E-mail Accounts...-> button Next-> use the dropdownlist below
