How would i go about changeing my BIOS so i cna have the
hard disk first and it not read form a cd-rom at startup

When your computer turns on press either Delete Key or
the F1 key this will be shown on screen as press to enter
set up.

Once you get the Bios screen you can then go into the
boot menu and change the first boot location to cd rom,
best bet is to change them all to CD then change it back
later.

Remember once you format and load windows again after the
first reboot, always say boot from hard drive it will
give you the option on screen.

change it in your BIOS which should be explained in your MB manual or a help
file on your computer MB disks.

Greetings --

The operating system is immaterial. Only you know what
motherboard and BIOS you have, so only you know the answer to your
question. ;-}

In the extremely unlikely event that your PC's manual doesn't
contain the needed information, try one or both of the following:

How do I access my computer's setup (BIOS)
