How do I change internet access for certain programs?

When I installed MSN Messenger Plus!, I remember the computer asking if a
program (with three letters I think) would get internet access. I clicked
"yes" and "remember my answer". The help and support on my computer is really
stupid, it won't find what I search for, even though I search for the right
words (In swedish, that is). How do I find it?

It must be a firewall program you are using on your computer. It almost
sounds like you are using Zone Labs firewall, but I cold be wrong. You
would need to open this program and find the location where it stores its
program exceptions, and I don't remember that off hand.

If you are using the built in Windows XP SP2 firewall then you can just go
to the Network Connections.

Start | Control Panel | Windows Firewall
On the Exceptions tab find the program you want and either uncheck it to not
allow it or check it to allow it.

Thanks, that really helped me! However it IS the firewall program (Norton
Anti-virus 2002 though) but I don't know where to change those particular
settings, have been looking in the help there without result. Do you know how
to help me in this matter, when it's about Norton Anti virus 2002?

NAV 2002 shouldn't be doing this. Is the Norton Internet Security
installed? NAV is a part of this, so it is possible that is what is causing
it. I am not a big fan of Norton Internet Security, I have had no luck with
it myself. I would say uninstall it and use the XP built in firewall, but
leave NAV 2002.

Hope that helps.

You know what, I just found where you can change internet access! I removed
the program I thought did it. But now I see no change.. Annoying. Oh well,
I'll have to live with it. But my parents certainly won't be able too :P
