The swedish template 'Faktura' has printing problems that I worked around but
I want to change the template so that I do not have to work around them each
time and I want to format certain cells in a different manner.
I find no online or offline help searching for 'mall' or 'anpassa mall'
which is the term used in the Swedish interface.

I think you can solve in this way:
1) Open the template;
2) change the parameters for printing as you need;
3) save the template as template, in format .xlt.

The information I needed was that I had to:
Open the template itself (not a document based on the template)
Unlock (remove protection) from the template
(Then your suggestions on changing)
//unfortunately I still cannot change so that I do not get a 'Margins do
not fit page' error message'// I'll work on that one (letter/A4 Column widths
etc.)
Reinstate the protection
Save and close the template
Open a document based on the template...

Maybe you can try coping the template on another worksheet, make the changes
you need for printing and save this new worksheet as template...
