Provided you have her user login setup as anything less than an
"admin", then you can modify the "hosts" file to point the unwanted
website back to the local computer as follows:
In explorer, navigate to the folder
%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc (normally this will be
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc).
Open the file named "hosts" in notepad (or your favorite text
editor)
Below the current line
127.0.0.1 localhost
Add a new line for the website you wish to block (say in this
example it is
www.badmessageboard.com)
127.0.0.1
www.badmessageboard.com
Now save the file and exit - this can be repeated over and over
for each site, and will apply to all profiles (user logins) on the
system.
Caveat - if your daughter has an "admin" profile, she can also edit
this file and remove the entries.
You may wish to also review the "Content Advisor" in IE options,
but on quick look, it appears you can only allow certain "blocked"
sites through, but not block certain sites.
Other option, provided you have a "other than free" software
firewall, you can configure those sites to be blocked as well, or if
you have something like net-nanny, those again can be configured as
needed.

Their are a few websites (message boards) that I want to block
access to so that my daughter does not communicate with unknown
people. Is their any way to just block a few, specific websites
without doing an large-scale block? Thanks.
