How do I back up my complete "my document" file?

Do you have any sort of large writeable media (writeable CDs, DVDs, etc)? If
so you could try copying your My Documents folder on to them

Is it available online? For free? If not, the majority of people here aren't
interested. :) If it is, please provide a URL.

The recommended way is to have a CD or DVD burner and a "full service"
burning program (Roxio or Nero). Open the burning program, drag "My
Documents" into the "layout", burn the Disc.

If you are fastideous about putting all of your "stuff" (documents, not
programs) into "My Documents", it can get quite large (mine is almost 10
gigabytes). At that point, you will find that you need a DVD burner,
not a CD burner, and even then you will have to break it up one way or
the other (automatically or manually) and it will take multiple pieces
of media to back it all up.

Or, simply purchase an external backup drive. I have an Iomega 160 gig
backup drive I purchased some time ago and it is about half full from all of
my machines that I perform a backup on.

The next issue of "Computeractive" will cover this in some depth.
