How do I animate graphics in a master slide?

In 2000, I could set the fonts, etc. and animation of titles and bulleted
text in the master slide. Then, if I added a graphic to a slide, I could do
custom animation on that slide and change the order of the animation so it
was title, graphic, slide. I can't figure out how to do this in 2003. Help,
please!

After you add the animation to the master in PPT 2003, then on the regular
slide, open the custom animation task pane, and right-click the grey
animation and "move to slide" (or whatever exactly that thing says). Then
you can do what you want with it -- including change the order.

http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00515.htm (ah, it's copy effects to
slide) has instructions for changing the master animation on an individual
slide.

I have PPT 2002, XP and have reviewed the PPt Tools website below about "copy
effects to slide". However, I don't get the master slide's animation shown in
grey in the custom animation pane. the only animation shown in the pane is
any that is applied to that individual slide. Is the "view master animation"
and add-in? or does it need to be switched on somewhere?
