Select the image and go to Draw > Align and click on "Relative to Slide" at the
bottom. Then return to Draw > Align and align it to Center and Middle.

Tip: If you need to do this multiple times, you can drag the Align toolbar to
anywhere on your screen that is convenient. Go to Draw > Align to see the
flyout menu. At the top of the menu you'll see a dotted line. Click, hold, and
drag on that line and drop the menu where you want. This works for any menu
that has a dotted line.

It is a three step process. First step: See the word "Draw" at the bottom of
your screen? Click it and slide up to "Align or Distribute" and then over to
"Relative to Slide". Let go of the mouse button. Second step: Select the
object to be aligned and do Draw--> Align or Distribute--> Align Middle.
Third step: With the object still selected, Draw--> Align or Distribute-->
Align Center. Bingo - your object should be centered on the slide.
