I am having to post to an online math class and have to enter scientific
notations. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi

If you have Word 2003 or earlier, you use Insert > Object and choose
Microsoft Equation 3.0. However, that isn't installed by default. If you
don't see "Microsoft Equation 3.0" in the list at Insert > Object, then use
Add/Remove programs and customize the installation to include the Equation
Editor.

Word 2007 has an entirely new Equation Editor and it is installed by
default. Use Insert > Equation.

Hope this helps.
