How do I add an arrow to messages that I have replied to?

I've looked at the answers to the the above question, but the responses don't
apply to Outlook 2007. Any suggestions?

You mean on the icon for the message? It should just appear automatically
after you have sent the message.

Perhaps if you were more specific about what you're looking for and what
you've tried?

This account is an MSN account (that I pay for). The arrow does appear on
sent messages in my personal folders that has a different server.

I do mean the icon for the message. It does not just appear on this email
account (MSN) however, it does appears on my email in my personal folders.

I'm specifically looking for the little arrow icon that shows up next to the
envelope once you reply to an incoming email. I've tried all the tips that
I've found on these strings, however, most of the tips refer to Outlook 2003
or earlier. I think it might have something to do with my email account,
since one account shows the arrow and one account does not.

Thanks.

When I look at my account info for the MSN account, it says HTTP. My other
account is a POP account (the one that does show the arrow).

I don't think HTTP accounts show the icons.

I am not satisfied with this answer. I think this is a bug. I have seen this
question on several forums but nobody is capable of giving an answer. I have
tried this in several versions and I know it works with my email account and
with my current configuration it does not work.

Here is the problem: I am running Outlook 2007 SP1 on a machine with Vista
SP1 to get to my hotmail account (paid for). Most everything works correctly,
however, when I click on a new message and it appears in the reading pane, I
can then click "reply" and the message opens in a new window. After typing in
the new window and even before sending the message back, a line appears with
blue background in the header of the message in the reading pane saying "You
replied to this message on April 23rd, 2008". Then if I send the reply
message, the new window disapears but the icon for the original message does
not change to an icon with an arrow and stays as an open message. If I click
on another message then click on the message that I just replied to then the
added line with blue background that said that I replied on such date does
not show up anymore. When I reply to a message in Outlook 2007 in Windows XP,
it does give me an arrow and so does it with Outlook 2003 in XP... with my
hotmail account! This is why I am convinced it is a BUG! How can this be
fixed?

Thank you but I would not be able to pull my email from Hotmail if I did not
have the Outlook Connector installed... anyway, I have it installed and it
does not work with it!

I just read another discussion where someone was asking the same question
for Outlook 2003 though... it seems like the problem might be coming from
hotmail not handling replied to or forwarded emails with Outlook (probably a
bug in Connector would be my guess). Although I just opened Outlook 2007 in
Win XP again to confirm that the feature does work there. So what next?

did you ever find an answer to this issue? I am having the same problem. I
do not beleive that it has anything to do with the http. My outlook 2003
with the same exact settings gives me the replied to icon. OL 2007 does not.

Regards,
Laurie
