Urgent help required!!! When I try to edit the Excel worksheet I have just embedded in a Word doc, I get the message "Word cannot open the document: User does not have access privileges". I have never knowlingly restricted access to the object. What can I do?

This sounds like one of those irritating contributions from Norton AV's
office plug-in. See if disabling that helps (it does nothing useful).

I know this should be a simple matter, but how do I disable NAV's office plug-in? I am having the same problem accessing embedded excel files. Thanks for any help.

Open NAV and click on Options (on the top toolbar), then choose
Miscellaneous. Clear the check box for "Enable Office Plug-in."
