I am using Outlook 2002 on Windows XP SP1. When I try to send a mail message
the following happens: Norton Antivirus starts scanning the outgoing mail and
Outlook reports that the mail has been sent and disconnects my Dial-up
connection, and I get an error message from NAV telling that the message
could not be sent. So the message, in fact, remains in my "Sent Items" folder
and never gets out.
Can anybody give an idea how can I disable the Auto Disconnect feature?

Thanks,

Avetis

There is no such feature.
You have provided no information.
You must state your mail account type, connection type and automatic polling
settings.

Click Start - Settings - Control Panel - Internet Options - tab Connections
in Dial-Up and VPN section: hi-lite your Dial-up connection - Settings
in section Dial-up settings: click Advanced
Now UNcheck 'Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed'
and if applicable 'Disconnect if idle for xx minutes' as well.

Now you need to disconnect MANUALLY after all mails have been send
or if you close your internet session.
