How can one see the URL (s) behind the linked images or linked text in received HTML email in Outlook? In IE, you can see it in the bottom left corner by placing the cursor over the image/text. The same when using Eudora email

This is critical to know for security reasons, where one will go when they do their click. I do hope that Outlook can do this very basic function. I haven't been able to find the method, it's definitely not intuitive.

Right-click, View Source, search for the text string or URL that
displays in the rendered version of the HTML in the preview pane. Maybe
there is an easier way but that's how I've been doing it.

Ugg. Does MS make Outlook for DOS 5.0? I know what you mean Vanguard, and have thought about doing this for some emails, but you'd think that a "smart" company like MS would enable one to just SIMPLY see the URL, and not have to jump through so many hoops. How can they expect a novice (though I am not) to do this? Seems so strange, especially when their IE does this intuitively secure function.

Maybe I'm bound to go back to my old Eudora. Too many non-intuitive problems I've been getting with Outlook. But Eudora seems to "garble" older emails being stored for future use, and it handles HTML email very poorly. I wonder if there's a "perfect" email program out there.

This is strange. When viewing a website in Outlook, the URLs from linked text/images DO appear in the lower left corner (like in IE). Why can't Outlook show the URLs from linked text/images within HTML email??? Maybe it can. Anyone know
