How can I view my tasks and my email inbox in the same window?

I'm trying to set up my opening window to show me both my email inbox and a
list of my tasks in the corner. Is there any way to set this up so I can have
simultaneous visibility to both?

Not within the same window, but you can open each in its own window and tile
them as you wish.
