I need to have data in a chart at the top of my workbook AND data in another
chart at the bottom of my workbook but the two charts are independent of each
other....meaning that when I hide columns in the top workbook- those same
columns are not hidden in the lower workbook.
Any tips are greatly appreciated !!!!

June,

I'm not sure I understand exactly, but try this. With the top chart selected, do Tools -
Options - Chart - check "Plot visible cells only." Opposite for the bottom chart.

Note: Top-posting has been the norm here.
Some folks prefer bottom-posting.
But if you bottom-post to a reply that's
already top-posted, the thread gets messy.

It's not clear if you're describing what you want or what already happens,
and if it already happens if it's good or bad.

You could rearrange the data so you're hiding rows instead, or put the
ranges in non-overlapping columns, and use the Camera tool to place a
picture of the data next to the chart.
