How can I turn off the auto-fill numbering in Access

When date entering in an Access 2003 sheet, I'm proceeding down a column of
numbers, Access always assumes if the numbers between 2 rows are increasing
by one, then the next row's field gets pre-loaded with the next number.

Generally, this is a feature that I do not want.

Is there any way to turn this off? I've looked around the tools options
menu and see nothing to do this.

Unfortunately, there is no option to turn this off.

Microsoft got feedback about this mis-feature, so Access 2007 does not have
this annoyance.

In A2003, the only real solution is to avoid using datasheets. A form in
Continuous view works around it.
