If you have a support contract or have a retail version, you can create a
support incident - that's generally the best way to make sure it gets to
them.

Thanks for the tips!
Is there somewhere we can post feedback to Microsoft about this? I
only
saw
where I could post feedback about the Office website.

You can't turn the infobar off. I compose slowly too and have never
noticed
it 'jumping' or been distracted by it.
There is a big difference between size of the header area in 2003 and
2007 -
approx 5 lines. If that is the real problem, you can collapse the
ribbon.
Clicking a tab will expand the ribbon as needed.

Hi Diane,
I'm moving over to Outlook 2007 from many years of using Outlook
2003
and
find this notification also VERY annoying. It didn't happen in 2003
even
though the autosave feature is enabled with the exact same time--3
minutes.
It's annoying because I generally take more than a few minutes to
compose
an
email. (If I want to jot off a quick response, I'll use IM.) So, I
see
this
"reminder" EVERY time I'm in Outlook. Also, I'm often gathering
information
(on another computer or monitor) to include in my message and then I
see
my
email window "jump" when the notification bar is added. I wonder
"what's
going on" until I realize I'm just being reminded. (I still haven't
gotten
used to it.)
Lengthening the autosave time seems almost like disabling the
autosave
feature which isn't what I want to do. I just want that useless
(for
me,
anyway) notification to go away.
thanks,
randy

That message in the infobar tells you the message was saved to
drafts.
I'm
not sure why you need to scroll down to keep writing - unless you
use
a
very
low screen resolution. You can set outlook to either never save
drafts
or
lengthen the time it needs to save them... tools, options, email
options,
advanced button - near the top of the list is a option for
autosaving
every
x minutes.

This notice appears when I'm composing an e-mail. When the
message
shows,
above the e-mail, I have to scroll down to keep writing. It's
really
annoying!
