How Can I Stop Recurring Tasks From Appearing Until Due Date?

When I set up a recurring task to pay my credit card bill for example on the
20th of every month and I check it as complete, Outlook immediately creates a
new task for the 20th of the following month. With multiple credit cards and
utility bills plus other tasks it clutters my task list. Filtering didn't
work and my Windows Mobile PDA doesn't filter at all.

Is there a way to have a recurring task appear only lets say 3 days before
my bill is due and then once I check it as complete, not have it reappear
until 3 days or so before the due date?

Any help would be appreciated,

No, you can't control when the task is created. The best you'll be able to
do on views is one that only shows the next x days for all tasks... or you
could use automatic formatting (white, tiny fonts) to hide some. Also, it'll
probably be easier to do if you assign categories to the bills and use it in
your filter.
