I have tried to follow the instructions for adding the News command to my
Outlook 2003 toolbar, but the News command doesn't exist in the Go category.
Where did it go? If I can't get it to work in Outlook, can I run its .exe
manually?

Thanks,

Bob

Not sure what instructions you followed. Try this: (You can drag the News
button anywhere on your menus - it doesn't have to be into a specific
menu/toolbar)

1.. On the Tools menu, click Customize.
2.. Click the Commands tab.
3.. In the Categories list, click Go.
4.. In the Commands list, click News, and drag it without releasing the
mouse, until it rests over the Go menu. When the menu displays a list of
commands, point to where you want the command to appear, and then release
the mouse.

Sorry about that, Russ. I didn't know the two websites were related.

Chris, I had already tried the instructions that you mentioned but the News
command didn't even exist. So I found another post that said:

"To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, click the "Don't ask me again" box and then click the No button. "

This fixed the main issue and then I was able to follow instructions similar
to yours.

Regards,

Bob

Oh, I see what you mean - sorry - didn't read your post carefully enough.
Glad you have it sorted.
