How can I setup power management for all users of machine?

I have XP home and use fast user switching to allow all my family to use the
PC.

How can I setup the power management settings so that they apply to all
users - at the moment, each logon has its own settings, which are not the
settings I want to enforce.

How to create a custom default user profile: MSArticle ID: 319974

Roberto,
Doesn't that suggestion only work for new users? How do I influence the
power settings of existing users?
Thanks,
Andrew

I don't know of a way to do it the what you want, as per the article
you would setup a default user with the setting you want globaly then
add your users.
Maybe a reg tweek in HKEY_USERS\DEFAULT\PowerCfg\PowerPolices\0~5 ? perhaps
someone else can clarify this.

I am thinking that you could go into Power settings in Control Panel and set
the values you want then create a group in Users with all of your family
members in it . Give them user permissions/rights not admin so it can't be
changed except by you or the admin. I've done this using laptops and it
worked. I actually created a group called AU and fixed settings then imaged
over 100 laptops. You'll have to play around a bit to get what you'd like
and remember you can always remove/delete the group if it doesn't work for
you.
