I have been asked how to save a Word document as a pdf.
Easy, I thought, Word for Mac OS X gives you this option in the Print
dialogue box.
Not the case with Office 2003 on Windows 2000; is this possible and if so,
on what Windows OS?

Many thanks,
Rich

There is no Windows OS with the built-in ability to create PDFs, that's just
a Mac feature.... But there are lots of third-party programs for Windows,
from free to shareware to expensive Acrobat, that will do it. One that I
have seen mentioned is cutepdf, but google will give better info.

Hi Daiya, thanks for the reply. I'm afraid I ported to the Mac before the
advent of Windows & stayed there. I therefore expected microsoft software to
behave in a similar fashion!
Dontcha learn something new every day!

Appreciate your response. Bye for now,
