How can I rename a DC?

Hi all,

I would like to change a computer name of my DC that is runing windows 2000
SBS server.

What is the right way to do this?

Any help would be great.

You can not rename a DC running w2k while it is a DC. If you have other DCs
you can demote it rename and then promote it back up. You can rename dc in
w2k3
 
Hi,

What is than this Knowledge Base Article saying? Article ID 257623 From what
I understud you can change the DC name tru registry. What I dint know is
what wil happend to DNS? Wil it automaticly change the records or do I need
to do it manualy? And How?
