When I try to print "text boxes" which i have create with various 'fill
effects' in my PowerPoint 2002 slides; the printed result shows those text
boxes as solid white boxes, with no transparency, even though the 'print
preview' displays them correctly.

i am trying to print in Colourand on varios HP inkjet and LaserJet colour
printers. Thanks for the response "ECHO S"

Thanks, I thought maybe you were printing in black and white, and that's
often a different issue.

I believe that a gradient misprinting is probably related to the need for
updated printer drivers. However, if this is happening on all your color
printers, perhaps that's not really the case.

At any rate, I'd try updating the printer drivers and see if that helps.
