How can I prevent unwanted recurring appointment designation?

Using Outlook 2007 I get unwanted recuurence assigned to my appointments if I
paste something into the appoinment, or if I drag an email into the
appoinment. I do NOT want these appoinments to be recurring. Please help.

Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs and remove outlookaddinsetup and
reboot the machine.
