Can I post a link or just some text I have cut from the web and have
Excel keep the default font?

To paste plain text to Excel you can paste to the formula bar
(one cell) instead of into the cell.

After copying you can select the cell(s) in Excel and then
use Edit, Paste Special values
*or* with a macro you could assign a shortcut Ctrl+SHIFT+V
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/paste.htm#values
If not familiar with installing using macro see
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm

You can remove formatting after copying by using Steve Miller's
Pure Text -- http://www.stevemiller.net/puretext/
and then pasting to Excel. This is what I use normally because
it works to or from any application, and I can keep my hands
away from the keyboard.

Pasting one cell at a time is enough for me.
Thanks

Nice to know which method you choose for immediate use, Thanks.

I left out pasting to notepad, and then copying from notepad into Excel
so now you have five choices.
