I cant seem to find an easy way to do this - (or ANY way to do it, for that
matter) I have a large document, which was necessary to divide into
'sections', to preserve the formatting I want in it. (i.e. I had to put in
'continuous' section breaks, in numerous places) However, I do not want the
page numbers to 'start over' with each section, I want them to continue,
uninterrupted, and consecutive, throughout the entire document. Word does not
seem to want to let me do this, in any way, shape, or form! Is there any way
at all, that this is possible? If you know the 'secret', please do let me
know!

If you go to the View menu and select Headers and Footers, you should be able
to use the "Show Next" and "Show Previous" buttons on the toolbar to jump
between the headers in the different sections. Then you can use the "Same as
Previous" button to connect the page numbers in the headers/footers to each
other.

The other option is that when you select "Page Numbers" from the Insert
menu, click the Format button and make sure the "Continue from previous
section" radio button is selected.

Hope this helps.

View>Header and Footer. Click the Format Page Number icon and select
continue from previous section.
