recent post, Ian Hutcheson ............Does anyone know a
way to allow these Real One tracks to be played using
Windows Media Player
reply from Chris Lanier: They can't. WMP does not support
it.

Okay, I don't know why, but I'll take your word for it. So
perhaps I should have asked how can I make sure that the
MP3 music tracks that I download CAN be played on WMP ? Is
it something that you set in Win MX ? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help - Ian

Real Audio is a proprietary format- you need the Real Player to play those
files. In my opinion, it's not worth the hassle. Windows Media Player will
play mp3 files no problem. Go to WMP Tools|Options- File Types tab, and put
a checkmark next to "MP3 Format Sound."

Regards,
Ian.
