I want to hide several programs I have installed, if someone checks my
uninstall list under control panel, how can I hide some of the programs?

If you can find a copy of "PC Magazine" dated August 3, 2004 check page 65
for 'Remove Items from Add/Remove Programs' for all the instructions you
need.

Not sure you can do this. And now I'm immensely curious to know why you want
to!

Delete it from Start/Run/Regedit:

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\<P
rogram name>

I think you can use Spybot Search and Destroy in advanced mode to do it.

The Tools side bar has the Uninstall list.

From my limited use of this tab I will not guarantee that it will not
actually uninstall the application.

I guess I was figuring the OP wanted to hide it from some, but not all,
users.

I still want to know what he's trying to hide, from whom, and why. I'm
insatiably curious.

The simplest way is to first make sure the uninstall shortcut exists in the
Start menu, if so, use MS Powertoys TweakUi (the older version, not TweakUi
for XP) & uncheck those displayed item(s) via the Add/Remove tab.

Actually all that you need to do is go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to
this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Local the program in question in the left pane. In the right pane, right
click DisplayName and select rename: Add Quiet so it will read:
QuietDisplayName.

No reboot or refresh needed. Open Add or Remove - the listing is now gone.
To revert, rename back to DisplayName.

So, how many of your nine lives /do/ you have left...? ;o)

Just a couple, unfortunately. I'm very cautious these days. Don't want to
use up all my credits before I'm 40.
