When opeing my Microsoft Outlook program I want it to open on the calender
page, rather than at present its opening page is the mail one.

Thanks for prompt reply it was very good of you, I felt it a little bit over
my head so I have had to leave matters where they are,as i'm very basic when
it comes to computers. ha!

For instance:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /select
outlook:calendar

As you described above ? I have clicked on my computer to get programs/files
and so on , but i think Im doing it wrong, you must think Im silly but as I
said I was basis, I actually meant VERY basic ha!

Modify the shortcut to Outlook with the "/select outlook:calendar" switch

For instance:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /select
outlook:calendar

Another way of going about this is to start Outlook and go to
'Tools|Options|Other tab|Advanced Options' and change the "Start up in this
folder" box to "Calendar".

on the "Other" tab.

I guess that's sort of like the problem of not finding a key labeled "Any"
when told to "Strike any key to continue"...
