How can I get back the line numbers on legal documents?

All of a sudden all the pleadings in my computer are naked of their line
numbers. Is there a way to get them to reappear? Thanks for any help.

File>Page Setup (Menu)
Layout (Tab)
Apply to: (Dropdown)
Line Numbers... (Button)
Add line Numbering (Checkbox)
Select the options you need........
OK
OK
