I'm in need of a free download of powerpoint 98 or 2000 for my presentation
next month. If anyone could help me or suggest a site where i can find it,
please email me at (e-mail address removed) or (e-mail address removed). Thank you.

1) No free downloads available for full PowerPoint program -- any version,
anywhere, ever.

2) The PowerPoint viewer program is available in 97, 2003 & 98(Mac) flavors
at:
Download Free PowerPoint Viewers
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00153.htm
This will allow for display, but not design of a presentation.

3) All responses are sent to the NG, not e-mailed. It defeats the purpose
of this NG's ability to share information if we keep running off to private
e-mails.

i own a copy of Microsoft Office XP Small Business, Version 2002, and have
never needed to use powerpoint until now. ppt is referenced in the read me
file on the installation disk but the software does not appear to be on the
disk itself. doesn't this version of office come with powerpoint? thanks.

Office XP SBE does not come with PowerPoint.

You cannot purchase the PPT 2002 Upgrade and add it to your Office version,
either, as Office XP SBE is not an upgrade qualifier for PPT 2002.

However, Office XP SBE is indeed an upgrade qualifier for PPT 2003. So you
could purchase that upgrade version.

You can also order/download a time-limited trial of Office 2003 Standard
Edition, which does include PPT.

Do you need to play back an existing PowerPoint presentation or create a new
one? There are free downloadable viewers for playback but you can't legally
download any version of PPT.

What platform do you need a viewer for? PPT 98 is a Mac product, PPT 2000 is
for Windows PCs.

You can probably purchase older versions of PPT on ebay.com or the like.

If you're looking for pointers to warez or other illegal download sites, a
Microsoft-sponsored newsgroup is probably not the wisest place to ask.
