Windows got corrupted and I had to re-install it. I could not access or see any of my old data but the antivirus software that I am using asked me for a password to check some files, and I entered my old password which worked. This makes me think that the "lost" data is there somewhere and as my backup was a month old and not complete, I would be very pleased to get any of it back!

It sounds like you just need to do a search of your harddrive for the
Personal Folder File. Here are the steps to complete the search:
1. Open My Computer.
2. Go to Tools -> Folder Options.
3. Select the View tab.
4. Make sure "Show hidden files and folders" is selected and Uncheck "Hide
file extensions for known file types". Click OK.
5. Close My Computer.
6. Go to Start -> Search.
7. Select "All files and folders" on the menu on the right side of the
window.
8. In the box labeled "All or part of the file name" type " *.pst" and
Click Search.
9. This should find any Personal Folder File located on the machine.

If you find the old .pst file then you can either import it into Outlook or
go to File -> Open in Outlook and open it by pointing to it on the hard
drive.

I hope this information is helpful.
