I'm trying to use an app that will allow me to keep my bookmarks between PCs
at college (which are running either XP or 2000) as things like bookmarks
don't get saved.
But as IE has been locked right down (can't even open a new window - go
figure!) I can't see what the proxy settings are!
I've tried whatismyip and entering the external IP as the proxy, but that
would be too simple now!
Also, while I'm here, they insist on setting their brand new monitors and
PCs at 60Hz for the new builds, and it really does give me a shocking
headache after less than half an hour. Again, control panel has been
disabled - is there any sneaky workaround so that I, at least, don't develop
epilepsy?!
