I am using Windows XP Pro SP2.

Today I tried to copy 64 subdirectories from my C drive to a data DVD using
Nero. I had to update Nero to version 6.3.1.20. The burn seems to have
proceeded correctly, but then the process stopped dead at the next stage,
the verification stage. The DVD seems to be OK, but I want to be sure
before I remove any of the original subdirectories on the C drive. How can
I compare the subdirectories and all their contents on the DVD drive (G)
with the originals on the C drive? Microsoft's FC and COMP don't seem to
have the needed capability. What other utility might I use? Thanks.

Windows Explorer. Check that all the folders and files are where they
should be on your freshly burned disk. Otherwise, there are numerous free
utilities that can be downloaded and used to check disks for corrupt or
damaged files. Simply do a Google search.
